Residential Project Manager

MESA seeks a full-time landscape architect or designer with 5+ years of experience in professional design, project management and construction observation. Experience with high-end residential design projects is preferred.

The successful candidate will:

 

    • Have excellent design skills
    • Have outstanding design graphic skills (hand drawing as well as computer graphics)
    • Be knowledgeable of and have experience with construction methodologies, implementation, and management
    • Be capable of working with design teams and consultants through all design stages from concept
      through construction
    • Be able to lead teams to complete projects while meeting deadlines and budget requirements
    • Be able to prepare and oversee production of CD sets including hardscape, planting, landscape lighting, water features, construction details, and preparation of specification and bidding packages
    • Be proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Microsoft Office Suite and GIS.
    • Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture or similar field of study from an accredited university.

 

Additionally, the successful candidate will be self-motivated, anticipate the needs of clients and projects, communicate effectively orally and in writing, work independently and on a team, have a broad portfolio of construction documents demonstrating their abilities, and be available for immediate work in Dallas, Texas.

 

MESA is a practice firm and currently the lead designer on master planned communities, parks, nature preserves, environmental education centers, mixed-use, urban living/multi-family housing, corporate campuses and high-end residences.

Graphics and Visualization Specialist

MESA seeks a full-time computer graphics and visualization designer with 2+ years of experience in 3D modeling, concept rendering, and architectural visualization. All candidates must demonstrate an expertise in quality graphic representation of site and architectural elements. In collaboration with the Graphics Director, this individual will work alongside project teams building detailed, high-quality 3D models and should be comfortable producing visualizations ranging from photo-realistic renderings to diagrammatic sketches.

    • Be knowledgeable of and have experience with 3D modeling and rendering workflows.
    • Demonstrate the ability to create high quality computer-generated graphics ranging from simple
      diagrams to highly detailed perspective renderings.
    • Be capable of working with design teams and consultants through conceptual design stages.
    • Be able to coordinate with team members to complete projects while meeting deadlines and
      budget requirements.
    • Be able to prepare design presentations.
    • Be proficient with 3D modeling using a variety of SketchUp plugins and extensions.
    • Be proficient with other computer applications including Lumion, Substance Designer, and
      Adobe applications such as Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. (Adobe Premier and After Effects
      are a plus.)

CAD Drafting and Production Graphics Specialist

MESA seeks CAD drafters, preferably with landscape design experience, to produce construction drawings and other technical graphic documents. Candidates should have 2+ years of experience in a professional design environment and have experience with AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Photoshop. Experience with Revit and Adobe applications is a plus.

Applicants are expected to manage deadlines with efficient production of deliverables. A brief practicum assessing technical skill and proficiency with software applications will be part of the interview process. The practicum will include but not limited to capability with:

    • Key board shortcuts
    • Using/creating custom LISP commands
    • Proficiency with utilizing line type, weight, and hierarchy.
    • Applying and setting up annotative scales and page layouts
    • Attaching and referencing other files, such as .dwg, .xlsx, .skp, .pdf, .jpg, etc.

 

The successful candidate will:

 

    • Have excellent technical drafting skills, especially regarding document management, composition,
      and in-depth knowledge of AutoCAD.
    • Be knowledgeable of and have experience with construction methodologies,
      technical (construction) documents.
    • Be capable of working with design teams and consultants through all design stages from concept
      through construction.
    • Be able to prepare CD sets including hardscape, planting, landscape lighting, water features,
      construction details, and preparation of specification and bidding packages with supervision by senior designers and project managers.
    • Proficient with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office.
    • Have an accredited certification, Associates degree in Drafting, or bachelor’s degree in Landscape
      Architecture or Architecture from an accredited university.
