Situated on 2,500 acres near the Permian Basin, Parks Bell Ranch is the newest master planned community in Odessa, a city in West Texas experiencing exponential growth. The vision for the master plan is Live – Work – Play and with over 200 acres of parks, trails and open spaces, residents will be able to walk or bike just about anywhere in the development.
Parks Bell Ranch falls within two counties, Ector and Midland, on a site inundated with oil and gas drill sites. As planning progressed on the master plan, MESA gave careful consideration to the preferred land uses for each county, while creatively addressing the needs of the development. Road alignments were designed to highlight natural amenities on site, such as large arroyos. Central to the master plan is the entertainment district including a lifestyle center, restaurants, civic, and open spaces, creating a destination that the surrounding area has previously lacked.
The first phase of Parks Bell Ranch will encompass 850 acres and include 120 single-family residences, 320 multi-family residences, as well as commercial space. The design for Phase 1 includes the landscape and hardscape of 2-3 main development entries, as well as neighborhood entries. MESA is utilizing native landscape species for passive open spaces that will complement the naturally arid climate.
