Rotary Dream Park

Rotary Dream Park will create a new destination for downtown Arlington residents and visitors. Ideally situated on E. Front Street between N. Center and N. Mesquite Streets, the park will create a sense of arrival and provide connectivity to many exciting redevelopment projects taking place in the vibrant downtown core south of the railroad tracks.

Working alongside the City and Rotary Club of Arlington, MESA has developed a concept plan that will creatively showcase two prominent art pieces. Arlington’s iconic DREAM sculpture, a “big word” sheet-metal sculpture by Jeff Schomberg and Laura Kimpton, will be relocated from its temporary location to sit atop a dedicated plaza overlook at the new park. In celebration of its 100th anniversary and years of dedication, vision and involvement with the community, the Rotary Club of Arlington is donating a new public art piece, “Boundless,” commissioned by the Jen Lewin Studio. The new sculpture features two, large interactive forms mirroring each other within the landscape. During the day, the work will reflect a shifting dichroic color. At night, the sculpture will become a fully interactive sculpture of glowing glass and animated infinity mirrors.
