This new camp sits on 456 acres of rolling terrain in northeast Collin County. The master plan includes over six miles of trails, sports fields, a new lake, a swim center, prairie restoration, and wildlife interpretive destinations. A series of layered, environmental system studies documenting soils, hydrology, vegetation, wildlife habitat, and topography revealed development sensitivity zones on the property and guided the projects spatial arrangement. The architecture, inspired by the surrounding Texas farm and ranch land, includes an entry gate, camp manager residences, boating facilities, and amphitheater. The project has a unified image that sets the stage for summer camp memories children will have for years to come.
