MESA collaborated with the team at Andrews Distributing to design the site landscape and common areas for their new office near downtown Dallas. The vision was to create versatile spaces for staff and guests that encourage both social gatherings and moments of individual reflection.
The primary courtyard offers a semi-private space screened by architectural panels and a band of pond cypress trees. The adjacent courtyard features a grove of red maples. Both areas are equipped with flexible, movable furniture to accommodate a range of activities and events.
At the entrance, large steel planters filled with ‘whale’s tongue’ agave create a bold statement. Custom wooden benches with integrated lighting offer comfortable seating, while pathways and gathering spots are softened by plantings of Berkeley Sedge, False Indigo, Dwarf Palmettos, and Russian Sage, adding texture and seasonal color to the landscape.
