Canyon Falls is a 1,200 acre master-planned community situated in the heart of the Cross Timbers Ecotone within North Texas across three jurisdictions, Argyle, Flower Mound, and Northlake. The area is characterized by rugged terrain with course textured or sandy soil as well as exposed rocky outcrops. Comprised of a mix of prairie, savanna, and woodland, the native vegetation is a variety of short and tall grass prairies, interspersed with creeks and woodlands dominated by native species such as post-oak, black-jack oak and eastern red cedar. The diversity of creeks, woodlands, and prairies in this area provides some of the most scenic views in the state.
The vision and design for Canyon Falls seeks to celebrate this heritage and create a unique development in the marketplace, based not only on aesthetics, but a lifestyle choice that celebrates nature and living well. The plan calls for more than 1,700 single-family residences, as well as multifamily, retail, and commercial uses. Additional features will include an extensive trail network, open space and pocket parks, and a community amenity center. Ultimately, these features will blend and complement the natural beauty of the native landscape.
