Heartland is a residential community situated on over 2,000 acres in Kaufman County, Texas. The client engaged MESA to develop a new master plan and neighborhood lotting plan for the undeveloped areas of the community. Key to the functionality of the new plan is the proposed re-alignment of FM741, a major roadway that will now provide improved access to the new development areas. MESA also established a new theming and branding identity that integrates with the existing hardscape and landscape character of the previously developed areas to the north. Key designs include new primary and secondary entries, streetscape, wayfinding and signage, and screening and fencing. The new amenity center, The Oasis, includes a state-of-the-art fitness center and event center. The resort style pool complex has two 30 ft. tall waterslides, activity pool, tot pool and splash park.
