Located adjacent to a light rail station, Ambrose is a mixed-use, urban in-fill multifamily project. Between the rail station and the ground floor retailers is a brick plaza large enough for outdoor dining and entertainment with shade trees and planting. The remaining three sides are landscaped with street trees, dense planting and enhanced pavement. Built over the parking garage in the center of the building are two courtyards that are separated by the club room, fitness center and units. MESA designed two courtyards: one active and one passive. The active courtyard consists of a swimming pool with tanning bench, cold water spa with fountain jets, an enhanced concrete pool deck, arbor, and a grill station. Surrounding the pool deck are raised planters with dense planting and ornamental trees. The passive courtyard consists of secluded seating areas, gathering areas for small parties and entertaining, a grill station, and arbors. Raised planters in this courtyard were designed to create multiple seating areas with canopy trees for shade, and colorful planting.
