Opened in summer 2008, Allaso Ranch youth camp and retreat, located in the East Texas Piney Woods, is owned and operated by Fellowship Church. Integrating non-secular teachings with environmental awareness, the camp supports three hundred fifty overnight visitors and offers weeklong summer youth camps for children age eight to eighteen and fall retreats for all ages. MESA’s master plan and first phase development components include cabins, dining hall, health center, and arts and crafts buildings. Sports facilities include a swim center, ropes course, zip line, equestrian center, and others. A new manmade lake is available for fishing and swimming. MESA’s thorough environmental site analysis and sensitive placement of design features help minimize plant and animal habitat disturbance during construction.
