NorthPark Center

NorthPark Center is the first in the United States to bring art by the likes of Warhol, Shapiro, and di Suvero to the public in a retail setting. It is the only mall to rotate sculpture on a regular basis with the Nasher collection. While working on the interior and exterior planting design, MESA collaborated on a series of museum-quality, custom planter and bench designs for the center. The planters are minimalist in nature: circles, squares and a series of rectangles. Each is planted with a modern floral display that is changed four times each year. The careful placement of the planters forms a street atmosphere with café spaces along the mall corridors, one of the only malls with this arrangement.
